Hello, my name is Vita.  I am an active design practitioner and a business coach for bright

and motivated design professionals.  I started as a window treatment specialist in 2005 from scratch, after quitting a 6-figure corporate job with a window office and an expense account.  By the end of year two, I grew my business to not only surpass my corporate income, but give me the flexibility to have a beautiful family.

But even though my road to success was short, it was tumultuous.  My goal for you is to make it short and much more effortless.

When I started my own business, I was full of zeal and energy. I was excited to finally be out of corporate politics and away from 9-5 hour-days (or more like round-the-clock days).  I went up the corporate ladder to become a Marketing Director before the age of 30 (all while pursuing my MBA) and I thought if I could make it there, I could make it anywhere.

But zeal and energy can get you only so far. Soon enough, I felt very frustrated with my business and concerned about my future. I thought to myself: “I’ve run multi-million-dollar P&L’s before, how hard can it be.” But I found myself feeling constantly worried and even anxious.  I felt plagued with thoughts like:

• “How do I get more clients, and especially clients who don’t nickel and dime me, but appreciate what I’m bringing to the table?”
• “How can I protect myself from investing tons of time and energy into clients’ proposals and appointments, if they are not the right kind of client for me?”
• “Why am I feeling like I’m spinning my wheels, constantly putting out fires, and running around like the proverbial headless chicken?” (and wondering if I actually accomplished anything worthwhile at the end of the day).
• “Why is it taking me so long to accomplish the same tasks that I seem to be doing over and over again – shouldn’t there be a better way to standardize them?”
• “How can I organize myself and keep track of ALL the different projects that are all at different stages, so that I can feel in control of my business?”
• “Even though all my clients are happy, I know that I’m I’m flying by the seat of my pants, and sooner or later it’s going to show – there has to be a better way”!

All of these questions are probably painfully familiar to you because you are asking many of them yourself.  There are probably sleepless nights, stress, and frustration. I know how you feel, because I’ve been there myself.  I felt it. I lived and breathed it.

And as I did, I knew in my heart that there had to be a better way – a better way to run a business, a better way to live a life. So I gathered everything I learned through the school of hard knocks, combined it with corporate-America training, added my formal marketing degrees, and relied on my ability to be organized and productive.

3-Week Strategy Plan

This level was created for those designers who have very specific questions/challenges in mind and want a quick resolution.  Together, we will identify your challenges and create a plan of action to overcome them.  After the plan is created, you are free to execute it yourself or move on to the next stage of the GET IT DONE Mentoring program (see below).  If I were to make a parallel to your design work, think of this as the “concept stage”, where you present the design plan and the customer may or may not decide to hire you to execute it.

10-Week Business Intensive

This level was created for those designers who would like more 1-1 time with Vita and
want her continuous guidance and support.  We get deeper into your challenges, create a plan of action, and work together to execute it.

1. 10 1-1 personal meeting with Vita on the phone every week for 30 minutes each
2. Every week, you would fill out a progress report, where you show what you’ve done the week before, what you’re proud of, what your challenges are, and what your upcoming week looks like
